Pretty Abayas and scarf

beautiful “Turkish” Hijab:

Combining black and white, this woman makes a modest and powerful look. I have a hijab that looks similar to this one. I adore it.

Wooooow! I loved this green-blue-tigercoloured one! The woman looks so charming with it. This one is my favourite!!!

Khaleejia just did an amazing post on Emirati abaya fashions  and I really like some of them. Here are my favourites, though I would wear alot of them with the shayla styled differently. The top one, I like the abaya and the cell phone together. Neither are my stle but together they looked kinda cool.
plain black robe worn by Muslim women to cover their regular clothing, It could be described as a long-sleeve robe-like dress and it is the traditional form of dress for many countries of the Arabian peninsula  including Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. In Iran the abaya is referred to as a chador and in South Asia a burqa.
Balloon sleeves were definately in this season, over last year's bishts. I like the look of a half ballon sleeve but not a full on me. I think the full ballon it is a younger look, sooooooo cute on teens, tweens, and very hip muslimahs. Avoid for the most part if pregant.:P the fabrics used on this one were lush though.

So most of the women, no the vast majority of the women where I live wear hijab, but not just hijab, but abayas, the traditional dress for women in the Arab Gulf (i.e the oil-rich Arab countries) region (which Qatar is of course a part of).
School is like  for some of these chicks, and I think it’s awesome. Seriously the women’s campus (yes even the universities are segregated here … that’s a whole other entry) has this wide sidewalk, which I have nicknamed the cat walk. I honestly think some girls get dressed with walking that strip in mind. And to their credit a lot of them come to class looking like this:
